First Fifty Years

Carrying on as a Society into its second half-century, we are so far even more
dedicated than ever to protect, to preserve, and to tell about this most remarkable
state that we have inherited: for all the people who are here now, and for all
those new North Carolinians who are on the way. This is a grand triple-helix of
responsibility, opportunity and honor, and the members of the North Caroliniana
Society accept it in our 50th anniversary year with energy, humility and joy.
